Why did my egg custard curdle?

There are a number of reasons for this : When adding eggs to a mixture, you need to add one at a time and beat well after each egg, alternating with small amounts of milk (not ice cold), then egg and so on. If it still separates, add a little flour and beat well again. Also, dont allow mixture to stand once mixed. It can also separate if its a hot day.
