Chrisitans: The right to life and anti-abortion is adding to overpopulation & depleting resources. any imput?

You'll never convince me how killing a helpless and innocent baby is the humane thing to do. And if the issue is overpopulation why do we kill them when their young and innocent? Exterminating people isn't the solution to overpopulation, birth control or sterilizations are. This whole myth overpopulation causes poverty is so wrong, look statistically how countries with huge populations, US, China, Russia are all wealthy and powerful. But countries in Africa with less than 8 people per square mile are in poverty, there are plenty of resources, the issue is getting them to people.
