Does the Islamic Veil protect Women from the Adulterous and Lustful Glances of Men?

I do believe so. If a woman covers completely accordingly to the requirements of Islam and sunnah (tradition of the Prophet) - she is not exposing any of her beauty which may cause lust and desire in men. Nevertheless, there may be some sick men who will feel ually seeing covered women - but as majority of men are stimulated by the woman's outlook, in general - covering does protect women. So do nuns wear special attire. There will be of course exceptions from this rule, but these are exceptions.
