My 1 year old cat never purrs. Does this mean she is an unhappy cat? We take great care of her but no pur!?

Some cats don't purr. If they lift their when you are running your hand down their back, that means they like that. Don't worry about the purr, if you are taking care of her right she would be happy. If she is active, buy her some toys and play with her for an hour. If she is lazy watch tv with her on the couch.
