Why couldn't we give the presidential nominees a lie detector test ?

I love that idea. Employers make potential employees take one. The federal government also makes potential employees take one. It doesn't make sense to have a potential employee in the most important job in governement not take one. Since we tax payers are the employers let's see how quickly our employees ignore this type of demand as they have ignored most of our others. They have forgotten who they work for just as much as most people forgot who is really in charge.
