Schindler's List: little girl in red?

I believe that it is meant to evoke emotion, by highlighting the innocence of a child. It focuses the viewers attention on a single being, since it can be overwhelming to think of the horror of so many. Schindler in the movie comes to see that one child as a symbol of the many and the innocence of a child represents the innocence of the Jews at the hands of the Nazi's.
