Is Max Cohen still alive?

I saw an episode of 'american hotrod' and it was about a young lad 17 years old called Max Cohen who has terminal cancer. Make a wish foundation sorted it for him to design a hotrod with the famous Boyd Coddington. I felt really happy for him and was glad to see an organisation doing stuff like this for unfortunate kids. I would love to know if he is still with us or has sadly ped away. does anyone have any info?
